The resort grounds are a genuine drawcard. Lap swimmers will appreciate the 25-metre pool, while younger guests gravitate toward the year-round heated wading pool. There's also a hot spa, sauna, gym, a 3/4 size tennis court, and a poolside barbecue area tucked within private botanical gardens — a lovely spot for an easy evening meal.

Step outside and the Esplanade stretches out before you, with 16 kilometres of flat walking and cycling paths running along the waterfront.
