When you're ready to venture out, you won't need to travel far. The famous Urangan Pier is right next door — cast a line for barramundi, flathead, cod, trevally or mackerel, with fishing supplies available from a nearby tackle shop. A pet-friendly, crowd-free beach sits just south-east of the pier, perfect for a morning walk or a lazy afternoon with the family. Just across the road, the Pier Markets come alive on Wednesday and Saturday mornings, offering fresh local produce, artisan coffee and handmade gifts.

The marina is a short stroll away, making it easy to join a whale watching cruise (July to October) or organise a trip across to K'gari.
