How close is the beach and Urangan Pier? The beach sits right at the park's doorstep — close enough to spot the water from your site and reach the sand in just a few minutes on foot. The historic Urangan Pier, the Botanic Gardens, shopping centre, restaurants, hotels and clubs are also an easy walk from your site or cabin, so you can park up and relax without the car.

What accommodation and facilities are available? Take your pick of 1 and 2 bedroom villas, open plan cabins, a centrally located Disability Cabin, and powered caravan and tent sites. Facilities include a shaded swimming pool, games room, large camp kitchen, laundry, modern amenities, a disability toilet, dump point and dog wash. Assisted parking is available if needed.

Can I book K'gari and whale watching tours here? Yes. The friendly team provides personalised tourist information and can arrange tours to K'gari and seasonal whale watching direct from reception. Courtesy pick-up and drop-off from the park is included at no additional cost, so you can leave the driving to the experts.

Is the park pet-friendly? Dogs are welcome on powered sites and in specially allocated 1 and 2 bedroom villas. Please request a pet-friendly option when you book to ensure availability, and make use of the on-site dog wash after beach play on nearby dog-friendly stretches of sand.

What accessible features does Windmill offer? The spacious Disability Cabin has easy ground-level entry, a large parking bay at the door and an open plan layout with a queen and single bed. It includes cooking facilities, a large fridge-freezer and TV. The bathroom features grab rails and a shower seat for assisted showering. A disability toilet is also available in the park amenities.

How does self-catering and servicing work? All cabins and villas are self-catering with cooking facilities, crockery and cutlery. Stays aren't serviced daily; a starter pack of consumables may be supplied. Full linen is provided at the start and refreshed weekly for longer stays, with optional extra linen/towel changes available for a fee. On-site laundry is provided.

When are check-in and check-out? As a small, family-run park, Windmill operates afternoon check-ins — cabins/villas from 2.00pm and sites from 1.00pm — with check-out at 10.00am.
