Carriers Arms Hotel Motel

Official Partner

Established in 1882, the Carriers Arms Hotel Motel is one of Maryborough's most iconic and enduring pubs — a family-owned complex that has grown over generations into a full-service destination for travellers, locals, and event planners alike. Situated at 405 Alice Street in the heart of Maryborough — Queensland's heritage city — the Carriers Arms offers 38 ground floor motel units ranging from standard rooms through to family suites and spa options. Whether you're a solo traveller, a couple exploring the region, or a family making the most of the Fraser Coast, there's a room configuration to suit. All rooms are smoke-free and include reverse cycle air-conditioning, Wi-Fi, Foxtel, kitchenette facilities, and more. Suite rooms are interconnecting, making them ideal for larger groups or families. Breakfast is served each morning in the Motel Breakfast Room or can be delivered directly to your door, and the onsite Timber & Steel Café opens at 9 am daily, serving coffee, cold drinks, and sweet and savoury snacks. The hotel bistro offers lunch and dinner, with room service also available for those who prefer to relax in their own space. Beyond accommodation, the Carriers Arms is a genuine local hub. The sports bar features self-serve and manned terminals, live Foxtel on the big screen, a pool room, and free music via the crowdDJ app. The gaming room houses 45 modern machines across a range of popular titles, alongside Keno, TAB facilities, and a complimentary tea and coffee machine. A Pub Card rewards programme is free to join and offers ongoing member benefits. For events and functions, three dedicated spaces are available. The Colonial Room accommodates up to 250–300 guests and features a raised stage, monster screen and projector, private bar, and dressing room — suitable for weddings, corporate events, and large social functions. The Coach House on the second level offers an intimate setting for 10–100 guests, complete with its own private bar, projector, and sound system. The Breakfast Room caters for smaller daytime gatherings of up to approximately 30 guests, with an outdoor courtyard for breaks. Free off-street parking is available, including space for larger vehicles and trailers. A large pool area with shade umbrellas invites guests to unwind, and the complex sits close to local parklands with walking tracks, a playground, a golf course, shopping, and Maryborough's CBD. Live music runs every Friday and Saturday night, making the Carriers Arms a lively stop whether you're passing through or settling in for a longer stay on the Fraser Coast.
