Chase reef favourites off the southern shores of K'gari on a full-day offshore charter. **Offshore charters departing Tin Can Bay to fish the reefs east of K'gari (formerly Fraser Island), Rainbow Beach and Double Island Point, with quality gear supplied and a friendly, supportive crew.** Head out at first light for standard 8–10 hour trips or extended 12-hour days targeting productive reef country offshore. No prior experience needed: fishing gear and bait are on board, and the crew pitch in to help you get set up, stay baited and land your fish. Bring a hat, sunglasses and a long-sleeve shirt, a packed lunch and snacks; there's an iced section on board and BYO alcohol is welcome. Pack an esky for the trip home, and give the team a heads-up if you'd like to bring your own rod. These waters are renowned for a diverse reef haul throughout the year — expect a mixed bag of classic Queensland species including various snappers, perch and emperors, alongside reef favourites like sweetlip and cobia, with pelagics such as mackerel and wahoo making appearances in season. From May to October there's also a chance to spot migrating humpback whales on the run out or back. What waters will you fish? You'll head offshore east of K'gari, Rainbow Beach and Double Island Point to productive reef country. Full-day runs maximise fishing time on the grounds, with your catch kept iced on board until you return to shore. What might you catch — and when? Expect a mixed reef bag through the year, with a range of Queensland reef classics and seasonal pelagic species. From May to October there's also a chance to spot migrating humpback whales while travelling to and from the grounds. What's included — and what should you bring? Fishing gear and bait are supplied, and the crew are hands-on with guidance throughout the day. Pack sun protection, a long-sleeve fishing shirt, lunch and snacks, and an esky for your fillets at day's end. BYO alcohol is welcome. When do trips depart and how long do they run? Trips depart early morning from the Tin Can Bay Public Pontoon. Standard charters run 8–10 hours, with extended 12-hour options also available.
